The merge result shows all duplicates sets with the copies and a preselected master. After adjusting the selection the meta data including the comments could be merged to the master.

Seems to me as if the tags and categories do not get merged. Is this supposed to be so?

The tags, categories, locations and comments are merged at the next step.

At this screenshot you see one duplicate set with two copies and one master. Here you verify that the preselected master is the correct one and that the copies belongs to the master.
